Music Choices.

Now that I have started to edit my production I need to choose the music that will go over the top of the titles and to use as the soundtrack of the film.

Before starting to film and edit the production I had an idea of using a track called 'In McDonalds' by Burial, this was an ambient song and would help to build atmosphere. However since I cannot use licensed music I have had to come up with some alternatives.

  1. Try to come up with my own music, however this is difficult to do as I am stretched for time editing as it is.
  2. Not have music, this actually added atmosphere in the opening shot with just rain sound but I needed something to keep the sequence flowing throughout.
  3. Online music, having looked around for a long time a lot of the music online is sub-par.
  4. Use an old piece of music which had lost the copyright.
I have decided to go with the forth option. The piece I am using is called Six Gnossiennes by Erik Satie. This piece adds to the atmosphere and helps to move the sequence along during the slower bit before the phone call.
