More filming...

Today I filmed some more scenes without actors which were the dream sequence and the images for when we see what the blind man can hear. For the dream sequence I wanted to capture the colours that you can see when you close your eyes in a dark room or looking at a light. To do this I set up a mini studio in my bedroom with a desk lamp, a make-up mirror, a CD and a snow globe. I reflected the light of the magnifying side of the mirror to create a light source that had lots of lens flares. I then set up the focus on my camera to the closest it goes. Then I shook up the snow globe and filmed it using the tripod so i could pan and track around it creating surreal images of floating particles. After this I shined the light at the CD and filmed it out of focus to create the rainbow colour effect. In premiere I overlayed these images to create an image with lots of lens flares and particles, I also put it to a track by Sigur Ros to set the mood. After doing this I was messing around and tried out the video in reverse, I really liked it. The reverse effect gave the sequence a more dreamy unreal feel to it.
